Dreaming of Warmer Weather

I am really enjoying these photos and dreaming of warmer weather. That is me in the black hat, with my brothers and sister (above) and mother and sister (below). The gallery has been dead slow, I think the town is still recovering from Christmas and all the power outages we had. Well, now that the holidays are over I have lots of time to work, I'm just waiting for my new oxygen concentrator to arrive. Happy New Year Everyone!

St. Andrews Local Life and Awareness Fair

It was a very cold day for the Paddlefest Local Life and Awareness Fair in St. Andrews, NB.
My pretty jewelry!

I displayed some of my glass rods so people could see what my products are made of.
As you can see from my earring cards it was a very damp and humid day.
It was so cold that I had to go home and get my winter coat, hat and boots!

Fun In The Sun!

Right now the town is covered in snow but we had about a week of warm weather here in St. Andrews. One day it was so hot we could wear shorts and tank tops! We went down to the shore everyday that it was nice.
 Buster and Charlie love exploring.

That's my bucket I found on this beach, I use it for beach combing.
Not the greatest resting area...the rocks were kinda rough.

You can see the St. Andrews Biological Station in the distance.

I didn't do anything to this photo the moss is just naturally that bright green.
 We found a small cave.

A hike and a walk on the beach

Sunday we hiked up Chamcook Mountain, this is one of the views from the top, you can see the town of St. Andrews, where I live, and the surrounding areas.
Monday we took a walk on the beach...look, no coat!
It was high tide during our walk, here in New Brunswick we have the highest tides in the world.

Warm enough for the dogs to take a dip in the water!

 Charlie exploring on the rocks.
Buster exploring on the rocks, he didn't want to go home.
Buster in the water again, he loves it.

Calm waters.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Back in 2007 I was fortunate enough to spend Chinese New Year in Beijing!
This was the entrance to the Marco Polo Bridge
Here we are on the Lugou Bridge aka Marco Polo Bridge in English.
There were hundreds of stone lions on the bridge and they were all different.
Geordie and the Marco Polo Bridge
A typical old style building here
 Decorations for New Years
Entering the The Tanzhe Temple in the hills, one of the oldest temples in Beijing.
 Incense
Very old buildings, around 1700 years.

These trees were planted almost 1000 years ago!
It was a great day!
